Your client quit on step 3

Record a click-through once. Send it to a specific client, by name. They open a link — no signup, no password — and you see exactly how far they got.

No card. Unlimited recipients on every plan, forever — the person reading your guide is never a seat you pay for.

The twelve walkthroughs that ship with it cover the access requests you send in week one

Onboarding stalls on the same four screens, every time

Every new client has to hand you access to something — ad account, analytics, Shopify, DNS. You have explained it a hundred times and you are still explaining it, one client at a time, with no idea which part loses them.

What you do now

  • A wall of numbered instructions typed into an email, which nobody reads on a phone.
  • A Loom you recorded twice because you fumbled the first take, and can't edit.
  • A Scribe link sent to eleven people, where all you learn is that it got forty views.
  • A shared doc with a screenshot of your own dashboard, account numbers and all.
  • Four days of silence, then “sorry, been swamped — where do I click again?”

What this does instead

  • One recording. Every click becomes a numbered step with the button ringed in ink.
  • Private data blurred before the image leaves your browser, not after it reaches ours.
  • A separate link per client, so “who's done it” is a name, not a view count.
  • It opens on a phone, remembers where they stopped, and never asks them to sign up.
  • Nothing moves for three days? One follow-up goes out on its own.

With StepProof, you can

Three moves. Only the first one takes any effort.

Record it once

Click through the task the way you would do it yourself. The extension screenshots every click, rings the thing you clicked, and writes the step title from the button's own words — “Click Add people”, not “Step 4”. Skip a step or undo the last one while you are still recording.

Not a public link. Each recipient gets their own — we email it for you, or you copy the links and paste them into your own email or WhatsApp. Tracked either way, because knowing who got how far is the entire point.

Watch where they stop

Opened, reached step 3, has not moved since Tuesday. One screen tells you which step is losing everyone, so you fix that step instead of re-explaining the whole thing to each client in turn.

The unblurred screenshot never leaves your browser

You are recording inside your own client's accounts. So the blurring happens in the extension, before anything uploads — and it destroys the pixels rather than covering them, because a filter can be removed and a covered value is still there.

It is blurred before it uploads

The redaction runs in the extension's offscreen document, in your browser, and destroys the pixels — downsample and repaint, not a filter someone could peel off.

We cannot accept an original

There is no API route on our side that takes an unblurred screenshot. Not a policy — an absence of code. Storage is private and read only through a short-lived signed link.

Or never touch our servers

Point any paid plan at your own Google Drive or S3 bucket and the images go straight there, stop counting against your storage, and stay under your control.

Found and blurred automatically

  • Account, customer, invoice and card numbers
  • Email addresses and phone numbers
  • Currency amounts — spend, balances, revenue
  • Any value sitting next to a label like “Account ID” or “Balance”

Never blurred

  • Buttons, links and navigation — the things they have to click
  • The element the step is telling them to click

It will sometimes blur too much. That is the safer direction to be wrong in, and one click in the editor reveals anything it should not have touched.

The person doing the work never signs up for anything

This is the screen that decides whether the job gets done. It carries your name, your logo and your colour — on every paid plan, including the lifetime tiers.

No account, ever
They click the link and they are in. No password, no “accept this invitation”, no app. There is no version of this where your client signs up for software to give you access to their own ad account.
Built for the phone in their hand
One step on screen at a time, the button pinned thumb-high at the bottom. They are usually reading it on a phone while doing the work on a laptop, and the whole page is designed around that.
It remembers where they got to
They can stop halfway, close the tab, and come back on Thursday to exactly the step they left. The link does not expire mid-task and forwarding it to their bookkeeper simply works.
“I'm stuck” goes to a human
One button tells you which step they are stuck on and what they typed, while they are still sitting at the screen. You find out during the task, not four days later.

Twelve access walkthroughs, already written

The requests every agency sends in week one, written out step by step and re-checked against the real screens. Clone one, put your logo on it, send it to a client today. Each carries the date it was last verified, on the page your client reads.

We never charge you for the person reading the guide

Guides, sends and recipients are unlimited on every paid plan and always will be — metering the thing you make is what we sell against. The only ceiling is screenshot storage, and you can remove even that by pointing any paid plan at your own Google Drive or S3 bucket.

Codes stack: one is Tier 1, two is Tier 2, three is Tier 3. Lifetime buyers keep the 12 templates as they exist at purchase; ongoing re-verified templates ride with an active subscription. Said here rather than buried, because finding it out later is how a listing earns refunds.

Questions worth asking

How is this different from Scribe or Tango?

They make the artifact; we make the artifact land. Scribe and Tango have no concept of a recipient — a link is a link, and the most you learn is a view count. Here every client gets their own link, and the thing you actually look at is which step lost them. The capture is table stakes; the drop-off view is the product.

Does my client need an account?

No, and there is no plan where they do. They get a link, they see step one, they work through it on their phone. The person reading your guide is never a seat you pay for and never a signup you have to talk them through.

Where do the screenshots go?

Into private storage we control by default — or into your own Google Drive or S3 bucket, if you connect one on any paid plan, in which case they never sit on our servers at all and stop counting against your plan's storage. Either way the important part happens first: the blurring runs inside your browser, in the extension, before anything is uploaded. The unblurred pixels are destroyed at that point — not covered with a filter someone could remove. There is no endpoint on our side that accepts an original screenshot, by design.

How does it actually reach my client?

Two ways, and both are tracked the same. We can email each person their own link, from our sender with your workspace name on it and your address as the reply-to. Or pick “just give me links” and paste them into your own email, WhatsApp or Slack — you keep your own thread and we still show you exactly who got how far. There is no Google connection to set up either way.

Do I have to use the Chrome extension?

No. Twelve access walkthroughs are written and waiting, so you can clone one, put your logo on it and send it to a client without installing anything. Record your own when you have a task worth recording.

How new is this?

New, and we would rather say so than fake it. There are no customer logos on this page because there are no customers to name yet. It is $19 a month, or $59 once on AppSumo, and everything described here is built and running rather than promised.
